SFPTotal Documentation
About the project
The SFPTOTAL project team studies the compatibility of optical transceivers with network switching equipment. The project develops software and hardware for working with fiber optic transceivers, passive direct attach cables (DAC) and active optical cables (AOC) in popular form factors: GBIC, SFP, SFP+, SFP28, SFP-DD, DSFP, XFP, QSFP+, QSFP28, QSFP56, QSFP112, QSFP-DD and OSFP.
The coding boards address the main programming and compatibility problems encountered by Internet service providers, data centers, network equipment suppliers and system integrators when working with optical transceivers and network switching equipment from different manufacturers.

Software
Original SFPTotal devices are fully compatible with the official <SFPTotal Wizard> software, which provides a convenient, comprehensive interface for working with transceiver memory.
The software is distributed free of charge and can be downloaded from the website's <Download—SFPTotal Wizard> menu. Read the user guide to learn about the main functions and features before using the coding board.

- The proprietary SFPTotal command protocol is implemented by the hardware controller. Its instruction set allows flexible control of coding board operation on the data bus, access to all transceiver address spaces, and complex algorithms for configuring and programming write protected transceivers.
