Backing up transceiver memory

Creating a backup

Go to the menu Control - Back up transceiver memory or use the keyboard shortcut CTRL+B to create a backup.

Automatic backups

The software can automatically back up the transceiver's main memory pages before every read or write operation. To enable this feature, select the checkbox in the menu Control - Back up transceiver automatically.

Backup directory

Backups of transceiver memory code segments are saved in the ./backup/ directory alongside the application executable. Backups are available in the following formats:

  • A combined JSON file
  • Individual binary files for each page.

You can open the backup directory quickly from the menu: Tools - Open backups folder

Individual transceiver memory page backups can be imported into the editor through File - Open or by dragging the file into the application window.

Note

Backup support is limited on SFPTotal Whistle coding boards.
